Rock four-piece Electric Attitude is proud to announce the release of their debut EP Laser Laser Laser Beams worldwide on May 26, 2009.  The album is a six song journey through the band’s funky soundscape filled with big riffs, grooving bass lines, dance beats, and libidinous lyrics.  Electric Attitude creates music that moves bodies whether through the blaxploitation-inspired funk of “City’s Gonna Get You, Sucka!” to the dance rock, disco beats of “Pistolwhip.” Also featured on the album is the song “Shot on the Dance Floor” which won the acclaim of URB Magazine declaring Electric Attitude one of the “Next 1000 Bands of 2009.” Laser Laser Laser Beams captures the band’s brazen, high-energy live shows and sexually charged rock swagger in a powerful debut EP featuring the band’s signature sci-fi, pop art on the cover.

Singer Blake Shepard, bassist Kwesi Sackey, and guitarist Jordan Bell formed Electric Attitude in the summer of 2008 to take their individual influences in the genres of rock, blues, funk, and soul and fuse them into a modern sound for crowds to stop standing with their hands in their pockets and grab somebody and dance.  With a sound that belongs on a space-dust fueled rocket ship traversing the Chocolate Milky Way by a crew of alien strippers and sexy robots; Electric Attitude continue to create an exciting buzz about the new album and the future sounds to come.

Electric Attitude have played venues across the southwest region and opened for such national acts as Octopus Project, The Hard Lessons, and The Go as well as performed at various festivals and benefits including SXSW, Westheimer Block Party, and Rock for Houston’s Youth Concert.  The band will be supporting the album with a regional tour this summer that includes stops in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, College Station, and Baton Rouge. They will also perform at the Texas Heat Music Festival in Houston with The Rapture, RJD2, and People Under the Stairs over the 4th of July weekend and with the best local acts in Houston at the Leave Your Genre at the Door concert on July 31st.
